Basement Waterproofing, Wall restoration and Basement Flooring

Challenge

This home in North Caldwell was experiencing water in the finished basement.  The water ruined the finished floors, damaged the lower portion of the walls and caused other damages to stored items.  We needed to keep the whole basement dry, all the time and restore the basement with materials resistent to water and moisture to prevent future damages.  

Solution

After reviewing the customers concerns Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to match specific products to solve the water problem, repair the damaged floors and walls.  Combined these products will keep the whole basement dry all the time.  

The WaterGuard drainage system will prevent water from entering the basement with a full perimeter system.  To install the WaterGuard system we needed to removed the lower portion of the damaged finished walls and the wood studs.  To restore this we replaced the organic mold prone wood studs with metal studs, we installed the clean space vapor barrier on the lower portion of the foundation walls.   To finish the walls we installed the EverLAst Wall system which is completely inorganic and prefinished with a nice neutral finish.  The Everlast wall system is warrantied for 50 years!  Giving the homeowner peace of mind of this wall ever being damaged from water.  The waterguard drainage system drains into two Classic SuperSumps with Ultra Sump battery back up systems.  This pumping system will let this homeowner sleep in confidence knowing their basement is protect from power outtages and pump failures.  To finish the floor we installed our Elite flooring system which is an inorganic floor system designed specifically for basement floors.  Combined with the Everlast wall system it looks beautiful!
