Basement Egress Window Installation

Challenge

To ensure safety in their basement this customer wanted to install two basement egress windows and wells. For this project we had to handle a close property line and also removing an existing window to close up so we can install an egress window in the same proximity.

Solution

The Quality 1st team was able to excavate for the egress windows by hand so we did no breech the neighbors property line. We were also able to engineer new headers to close up and remove the existing basement window so we can install the new egress window in the area of teh future bedroom. The windows were designed with the help of a local engineering firm and inspected by the local municipality to ensure all local fire and safety regulations were met. This homeowner can now rest assured their basement is safe.
