Basement Waterproofing with Wall Paneling in East Brunswick, NJ

Challenge

A resident in East Brunswick, New Jersey was experiencing moisture behind their basement walls. Basement walls allow a lot of water vapor to pass through them. Block walls not only allow lots of water through because of their hollow core, but cold and damp air can pass through easily. Once a wall is damaged by water, mold can grow and travel into the upper levels of the house. Breathing in this air would not be safe for the homeowner. They wanted this fixed so their basement would be protected and safe from water.

Solution

The homeowner called Quality 1st Basement Systems when they saw our testimonials on our website. Our System Design Specialist, Javier Romero, helped the homeowner come up with a plan to fix their walls. He suggested they install a drainage system, along with restoring their walls. Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the EverLast Panels that replace the damaged bottom wall. This wall has no drywall or paint, so it will not grow mold or be damaged by water. Mario also installed the SuperSump Pump System which will keep the basement dry by draining water out, even during heavy rainfall. Lastly, Mario installed the WaterGuard Drainage System which is placed underneath the floor slab and rests on the foundation footing. This system drains water away from the basement and to the sump pump system.
