LawnScape and IceGuard Installation in Edison, NJ

Challenge

Homeowner in Edison, NJ called Quality 1st with issues of a leaking basement. Her basement was leaking from the floor causing damage to the customer's property and interfering with the family's living space.  The homeowner also reported having pooling at the discharge line in her lawn during heavy rain storms which also caused damage to her landscaping and made for an unsightly lawn.

Solution

A Quality 1st Inspector visited the property to determine how we could waterproof the homeowner's space and prevent future issues.  We determined that a major part of the flooding problem was due to an improperly installed discharge line.  Discharge lines must be a minimum of 15 feet away from a home because the water will eventually backflow into the home.  The water will be recycled into the loose fill soil surrounding your home's foundation and flood your basement, which also means that your sump pump will continuously be overworked. 

Quality 1st installed a LawnSpace system to meet required drainage distance from the home and to alleviate the workload of the sump pump.  We also installed an IceGuard system which will prevent frozen or clogged discharge lines which will prevent sump pump failure keeping the homeowner's basement dry and comfortable at all times.  This Edison homeowner is extremely pleased with her new system and is enjoying her dry and clean basement!
