Quality 1st Basement Systems was contacted by a homeowner in Westfield, NJ about a foundation concern. The homeowner discovered their basement walls were undergoing some serious foundation issues, so we had our System Design Specialist, Greg L., inspect the home. After Greg provided a thorough inspection of the basement walls, he recommended both our Carbon Armor Reinforcement and Helical Pier System as the perfect solution.

Solution

The Carbon Armor Reinforcement System is designed to stabilize bowing basement walls, while the Helical Pier System helps lift and stabilize the shifted foundation. Our crew first measured the wall and marked an equal distance for each strap and pier. They installed the Carbon Armor Straps using an epoxy resin. Each strap is flexible and 10x stronger than steel. Next, our crew installed the Helical Piers by creating a small spot, beneath the ground, to place the pier. Once each pier has been placed, our crew then covered the system using a soft concrete-looking mixture.

Since the installation, the homeowner has not experienced any other foundation issues in their home.
