Challenge
Klaus Roofing Systems by Quality 1st was contacted by a homeowner in Montclair, NJ. The homeowner was interested in replacing their roof since it started showing signs of deterioration. We provided a thorough inspection of the roof and discovered the shingles were covered in dark water streaks. We agreed that the roof needed to be replaced, so we created a quote for the homeowner.
Solution
A few weeks later, our crew arrived at the home and installed the new roof. They first laid a tarp next to the home and removed the old roofing shingles. Our crew then inspected the roofing deck and discovered some parts were rotting. They replaced the rotting plywood with durable CDX plywood. Next, our crew installed the ice and water membrane, which protects the roofing deck from ice, snow, and rain seepage. Our crew finally installed the new roofing shingles and did a final cleanup before completing the job.
