Wet Basement Waterproofed in Cranford
Challenge
Cranford homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems because he was experiencing water seepage in his basement. The water was damaging the finished walls and carpeting and was limiting their usable space. Upon inspection by a System Design Specialist, it was determined that the water was seeping in at the floor and wall joint and overflowing the floating slab causing seepage on the floor. There was also dampness in the space because of this basement leakage.
Solution
To solve the flooding basement problem, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed the WaterGuard piping system to waterproof the basement. WaterGuard is used to drain the water build up from the cinder block and to collect any water seepage along the floor and wall so that no damage or basement flooding occurs. WaterGuard comes equipped with a lifetime warranty against groundwater seepage which means that this homeowner no longer has to worry about his basement and home when it rains.
In addition to the WaterGuard system, a TripleSafe pumping system ensuring the ultimate protection in circumstances such as mechanical failure, circuit tripping, or power outages. This gave this homeowner the peace of mind that if any of these instances occurred, they would be fully covered and have confidence in the fact that their basement would stay completely dry. Quality 1st Basement Systems had to cut a portion of the homeowners finished walls due to water damage. After installation we replaced the portion of the wall that was cut with EverLast wall restoration panels. This walling is a finished wall with a designer beige and white finish and can be completely installed, from start to finish, within one day which allowed this homeowner to regain his space without having to worry about an overly intrusive project. Now this homeowner and his family can enjoy their basement space without worry of seepage or the stress of having to clean up after a heavy rain.
