Concrete Leveling in Hillsborough

Challenge

A homeowner in Hillsborough, NJ noticed that his driveway had been sinking for some time. He contacted Foundation SupportWorks of New Jersey, a division of Quality 1st Basement Systems, for a free in-home estimate to solve his sinking concrete problem. System Design Specialist, Ken Peare, inspected the property and determined that the concrete driveway was sinking due to settlement of the soil underneath the property. The soil compressed and settled creating a void under the driveway which caused the concrete to sink.

Solution

Foundation SupportWorks of New Jersey installed PolyLEVEL to raise the driveway to the desired level and prevent future issues. The homeowner considered replacing his driveway but the cost of replacement far exceeded the budget that he had laid out for the project. Mudjacking was also a possible solution for this Hillsborough home, but due to the large, unsightly holes that would be left behind from the mudjacking process, the homeowner decided against this process.
