Eliminating Water Seepage In Baltimore, MD Basement

In Baltimore, MD, a homeowner began noticing an increase in moisture levels in their basement, particularly after periods of rain. Water was accumulating in the space, and visible cracks in the basement walls were identified as the main entry point for the intrusion. Over time, this constant exposure to moisture raised serious concerns about potential structural damage, wood rot, and mold growth. Solution

After conducting a thorough inspection of the basement, our team designed a customized waterproofing plan tailored to address the unique challenges of the space. We installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System to collect water entering through the wall-floor joint and channel it to a new, high-performance TripleSafe Sump Pump. This three-pump system provides multiple layers of protection, including a battery backup to ensure operation during power outages. To stop wall moisture and improve the space’s appearance, CleanSpace Wall Panels were installed, creating a vapor barrier while redirecting seepage into the drainage system. To ensure year-round functionality, our IceGuard Discharge Line was added outside the home to prevent backups caused by frozen discharge pipes during the winter. With all components working together, the homeowner’s basement was fully transformed into a dry, stable, and healthier space. The combination of the WaterGuard system, TripleSafe pump, CleanSpace panels, and IceGuard discharge line eliminated the ongoing water seepage issues and provided lasting protection against future moisture problems. Our crew installed WaterGuard and CleanSpace Wall Panels to tackle persistent water intrusion through the basement walls and floor joint. WaterGuard captures seepage at its entry point and directs it to the sump pump, while CleanSpace Wall Panels act as a vapor barrier-preventing moisture from entering the space and guiding any wall seepage into the drainage system.

To replace an outdated system that couldn't keep up with water intrusion, we installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump. Designed with three levels of protection-including a powerful primary pump, a secondary backup, and a battery-powered unit for outages-TripleSafe ensures continuous, reliable water removal.

Lastly, the crew added our IceGuard Discharge Line to protect the basement from flooding during freezing temperatures. If the exterior discharge line ever becomes blocked with ice or debris, IceGuard automatically releases water through built-in openings-ensuring the sump pump continues to function and keeping the basement dry, even in harsh winter conditions.
