Waterproof Wall Panels in Pompton Lakes
Challenge
A wet basement in Pompton Lakes was looking worse for wear. Previous flooding issues left this basement with damaged walls, which were a complete eyesore. The basement was in need of a reliable sump pump system to prevent any future basement flooding. The homeowner couldn't stand the humidity and moisture; he was afraid that mold would become an even bigger problem.
Solution
The team at Quality 1st Basement Systems installed BrightWall Panels over the existing walls. BrightWall is made of a semi-rigid white plastic, which means it is waterproof and mold resistant. These panels are secured to the walls and will never lift away or peel. BrightWall prevents water vapor from seeping through basement walls and brightens up the look of any basement! It is a great and affordable choice for semi-finished basements.
The homeowner chose to protect his basement further. The Quality 1st Basement Systems crew installed a SuperSump sump pump system and SaniDry Dehumidifier. The SuperSump drains water from the basement to prevent flooding, and pushes it out and away from the home's foundation, which prevents residual seepage. The SaniDry Dehumidifier works as both a dehumidifier and air filtration system, which dries and cleans air simultaneously. It is energy-efficient and can be installed to drain directly into sump pumps; no buckets necessary!
