Concrete Leveling in Princeton Junction, NJ
Challenge
The owner of this Princeton Junction, NJ home moved into the property about five years ago. One of the first updates that he made to the home was the pool area. He and his wife had selected beautiful stamped concrete around the pool. Recently, the homeowner noticed that the concrete slabs were sinking up to an inch in different locations of the pool patio. Quality 1st Basement Systems inspected the sinking concrete and determined that the sinking was due to a void in the soil beneath the concrete.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems used PolyLevel to raise the concrete slabs. PolyLEVEL was the best option for repairing this concrete patio. The concrete was custom and expensive; the homeowners did not want to have to spend a great deal of money on brand new concrete. The other issue with concrete replacement is the fact that it doesn't treat what is going on underneath the slabs, which is why the slabs settled in the first place. New concrete slabs would just settle again.
PolyLEVEL is the best option to repair sinking concrete. It is like the new and improved version of mudjacking. The installation team injected the two part polyurethane foam underneath the concrete slabs. The crew drilled small holes into the concrete which are unnoticeable in the pool patio. PolyLEVEL raised the slabs back to the desired level and filled the void beneath the concrete to stabilize the slab for years to come. The homeowners were thrilled that they did not have to replace the concrete and that their pool area looks great and is free of tripping hazards.
