Concrete Lifting Keeps Complex Safe in Sayreville, NJ
Challenge
A townhouse complex in Sayreville, NJ had some problems with its concrete sidewalks. Many of the sidewalks were sinking into a ground and the residents were concerned about trip hazards. Tenants wanted to be able to ride their bikes in the spring, take a jog, and push strollers without worrying about sinking concrete. Before warm weather began, it was important for the concrete to be level and safe.
Solution
Led by foreman Arturo Jacuinde, Quality 1st Basement Systems visited the complex and went to work. They injected PolyLevel underneath the sinking slabs. This was the best solution for the job for multiple reasons. First, PolyLevel requires minimal disturbance. It is injected through dime-sized holes that are covered up after the work is finished. This was pefect for this townhouse complex in order to keep it looking beautiful and ensure that all the residents are pleased. Second, PolyLevel works fast. Thirty seconds after installation, the sidewalk was ready to be stepped on and stable enough for foot traffic.
Third, it is a permanent solution. PolyLevel is waterproof, it will not wash away during a rainstorm. It is a lightweight polymer that fills the void underneath the sinking concrete, lifting it back up into place. Proven to work better and faster than mudjacking, it is also less expensive. Now the residents in this complex are happy. They feel secure knowing that the sidewalk will not sink again.
