Does Your Pool Patio Have That Sinking Feeling?

Uneven Patio Slabs Bringing You Down?

PolyLEVEL Truck

Is the patio around your pool sinking in some places and rising in others? Summer should be a time of relaxation and the patio and pool space should be a safe recreation area. Guests tripping over the uneven concrete can really put a damper on the fun. Everyone should be enjoying the great outdoors and not heading to the emergency room.

Don’t worry about some contractor coming in and ripping up the whole pool area, while preventing your family from frolicking in the summer sun, Quality 1st Foundation Support Works of N.J. has a simpler, more permanent solution; PolyLEVEL.

Concrete settles for a number of reasons; moisture content of the soil under the slab, washout, and poorly compacted soil. One or more of these issues could be the reason the area around your pool is starting to crack and lift.

PolyLEVEL Demonstration

The most common soil types are sand and clay.  Sand doesn’t expand or shrink with moisture, but it can wash away. Clay expands when wet and contracts when dry. This expansion and contraction creates an empty space for the slab to settle causing uneven patios, sidewalks, and pool areas.

Washout is another common cause of uneven concrete. As water moves underneath the concrete it can slowly wash away the supporting soil affecting the level of your patio. This happens with age, but also with poorly compacted soil.

When the cement slabs around your pool were originally poured soil was moved around to get the desired grade level. If the soil was poorly compacted, it can settle and a void can be created under the concrete. With no support underneath, your patio area can crack or sink causing unsightly and hazardous conditions.

Our Solution: PolyLEVEL!

Quality 1st offers the PolyLEVEL System, a state of the art approach to solving your pool and patio woes. Holes, smaller than a penny, are drilled into the concrete and the slabs are lifted back to the proper height by injecting high-density polymers. This process allows for a precision lift and stabilization of the slabs. The material is waterproof, environmentally safe, and will not wash out. It’s a clean and quick answer to sinking patios and the kids can be back in the pool the same day!

PolyLEVEL is also used for sidewalks, driveways, porches, stoops, concrete steps, interior concrete floors and additions that are pulling away due to sinking slabs.

Call Quality 1st Foundation System Support Works today and get that patio fixed so you can enjoy a worry-free summer.
