Quality 1st Basement Systems Sponsors Aberdeen Day
Quality 1st Basement Systems continuously gives back to its home township of Aberdeen. Quality 1st Basement Systems recently sponsored Aberdeen Day and brought with them many attractions to the local town fair.
The team hired Bwana Jim’s Animal Show to put on a special demonstration for the town. Bwana Jim's Wildlife Show was a hit with the families that attended. Bwana Jim brought a bunch of different species of animals from wildbirds to alligators. Bwana Jim brought a turtle and even a huge snake.
There were some Aberdeen kids who were even brave enough to come up and touch the snake! The snake was bigger than some of the kids, but they really enjoyed the experience! Some members of the Quality 1st Basement Systems teams were even allowed to touch the alligator.
Quality 1st Basement Systems also brought an entire petting zoo, and even had pony rides! The petting zoo had llamas, bunnies, and more. Tom Roman brought five ponies to the event for the neighborhood kids to ride, and the line was wrapped far around the entire event. Many of the residents of Aberdeen personally thanked Tom and the team for their additions to Aberdeen Day, especially for providing extra tents when it began to downpour!
During Aberdeen Day, Quality 1st Basement Systems also collected donations for the Cliffwood Fire Department. Joey Roman, Tom’s son, and the Quality 1st Basement Systems teams designed “Fill the Boot” signs and sent a request to the fire company for boots he could place around the petting zoo to collect donations. The “Fill the Boot” campaign was a great success. When Joey counted the donations, they totaled over a $1000.00.
Soon after, Joey and his father Tom paid a visit to the Cliffwood Fire Department to present the check. The volunteer firefighters were impressed at the ingenuity of nine-year-old Joey and the success of Quality 1st Basement Systems “Fill the Boot” campaign for firefighters. Volunteers from Cliffwood Fire Department stopped by Quality 1st Basement Systems main office to personally thank Tom and Joey for their efforts. Quality 1st Basement Systems is proud to be a part of the Aberdeen community and thankful for the firefighters and EMS workers who risk their lives to keep us safe.
The attractions and presence really added to Aberdeen Day, and Quality 1st Basement Systems was very proud to be a part of the event and to give back to the Aberdeen community. We look forward to seeing everyone at next years Aberdeen Day!
