What makes a better waterproofing system? There are so many products out there and everyone claims to have the best product for your basement. Are these products one size fits all? We don’t believe they are. Every home is different and unique in its shape, build, and problem. First off, I would say look for a company that has many patented products so your house can get the best repair necessary. Now, the most important part of the “finding a company” equation is the service. What kind of service should you and your home get? Do you want someone who is late to their scheduled estimate? Someone who doesn’t provide you with information? We here at Quality 1^st Basement Systems believe our customers should be educated. We want them to know exactly what they are buying, what their results will be once we are finished, and feel WOW’d at the end of their experience with us.

So how do you know what kind of service you will get from a company? Look at the whole company. How was your experience with their office, not just their sales staff? How neat and organized was the information that was left to you? Maybe you have chosen someone, or have someone in mind. Now lets hit the web and do some research. First, check out the Better Business Bureau. Next, move on to contractor referral sites: angieslist.com, servicemagic.com. Did the company win any awards from any of these organizations? Referrals, referrals, referrals. Ask for them and feel free to ask for more. Then, I always like to recommend a visit to their shop and/or office. Do they have a nice product display? When you think you have decided, look into the manufacturer of the products they use. Does the manufacturer offer any kind of warranty? Look the manufacturer up on the BBB. This should help you get a good overall idea of how this company will service you and your home.
