A customer in Marlboro, NJ noticed some dampness and efflorescence (white, chalky remnants) on the front basement walls, both a sign of water intrusion. After contacting Quality 1st Basements, Inc. for help, Basement Design Specialist Greg Louis met with the customer to help develop a plan for resolving the issues at hand. Foreman Juan Garcia and his crew installed a waterproofing system to meet the customer's needs and new basement walls for a brighter, cleaner space.

Previously Existing Sump PUmp

This customer decided they needed to upgrade their current sump pump to handle the water seeping into the basement area.

Damp Cement Basement Block Walls

The customer noticed some dampness and efflorescence on the walls, signs that water was making its way into the basement and set to cause numerous problems if not tended to.

SuperSump, an Excellent Replacement Pump

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, designed with a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump, is capable of pumping out 2200 gallons of water to keep a basement from getting inundated with water. It is backed up by a battery-powered pump for emergencies in which the power is out or the primary pump fails.

Discharge Water Out on the Lawn

With PVC drain piping set several feet away from the home beneath the lawn, the discharge water from the SuperSump Sump Pump will travel to the LawnScape drain to be dispersed.

Bright Wall Wall Panels to Brighten Any Basement

This customer opted to have BrightWall Wall Panels installed over the concrete blocks. The sturdy panels are secured onto the walls with fasteners and provide a waterproof and washable wall system. Made from inorganic materials, these panels also resist mold and do not decay.
