WaterGuard System Installed in Matawan, NJ
Challenge
The basement of this Matawan, NJ home was wet and left the environment in the basement very uncomfortable. The homeowner needed a solution to the water issue that would permanently prevent water from entering the home when it rained. With rainy days a head, the homeowner knew that he would need to find a waterproofing company and quick! Searching on Google, Quality 1st Basement Systems came up right away. After exploring the page and viewing some basement waterproofing before & afters, the homeowner knew they had found just what they had been looking for, a company with a solution.
Solution
Customer Service Representative, Sheilah Powell, was able to find an appointment date and time that worked best for the Matawan,NJ homeowner and within just a few days, System Design Specialist, Maurice Robinson, was out to inspect the basement. Upon inspection, Maurice noticed the walls were damp and that there was moisture built up down in the basement. After doing a full evaluation, Maurice recommended a WaterGuard System to provide the best permanent solution. Since Maurice provided a very detailed explanation for his recommendation, the homeowner agreed to the installation that same day.
Project Manager, Juan Garcia and his crew did the full installation. Before beginning, Juan does a walk throguh with his crew through the basement to make sure the space is cleared to perform the installation. Crew member, Wilver, began drilling small holes into the foundation wall of the basement where they had appeared to be damp. As soon as the holes were drilled water began pouring out the walls. This is very common since when it rains, your foundation walls obsorb the water and then the water begins to seep through the walls. After the water was removed and the space was cleared, the crew began excavating the basement floor for the WaterGuard drainage system to be installed. Once all of the WaterGuard is in place, the crew backfills the areas with gravel. Next, the area is sealed with cement.
The WaterGuard will collect any water and direct it through the system straight the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Once in the TripleSafe Sump Pump, the water is pumped out of the basement and away from the foundation of the home through a discharge line. The homeowner was amazed at the entire installation process and has called since to inform us that his basement has been dry ever since!
