Waterproofed Finished Basement in Scotch Plains, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Scotch Plains, New Jersey had water coming in the bottom half of their finished basement walls. The homeowners contacted local basement waterproofing experts, Quality 1st for a free estimate. Our System Design Specialist inspected the basement and noticed signs of water entering and then recommended a waterproofing system be installed.
Solution
The WaterGuard waterproofing system was installed along the perimeter of the basement, underneath the floor slab, on top of the foundation footing in order to prevent clogging. This system collects water entering through the basement walls and directing it to the sump pump. WaterGuard is the ideal choice for waterproofing with minimal invasion of the slab, and all concrete is restored after installation.
A TripleSafe sump pump was installed to pump water out of the basement. The TripleSafe has three levels of pumps built in to ensure the basement stays dry, and in case of one pump failure the other pumps will kick in. The bottom half of the basement walls had water damage and needed to be restored. Quality 1st removed the damaged walls and replaced them with clean, new walls. This finished basement is waterproofed and the homeowners can enjoy it without water entering.
