Professional Basement Waterproofing in Dover, NJ

Challenge

This Dover, NJ  resident, noticed that after each long and heavy rain, water would appear in their basement. Water was seeping in through the walls, floor and underneath their bilco door. If not resolved, water damage would occur followed by mold growth and a musty odor. The homeowner needed to find a permeant solution to keep their basement dry and healthy. We sent System Design Specialist, Greg Louis out to perform a thorough inspection and design a solution that would work for this basement and home. 

Greg recommended a full perimeter system to keep this basement dry. He recommended our WaterGuard French Drain System, TripleSafe Sump Pump and SaniDry Sedona, which working together, would keep the basement dry and prevent mold and musty odors.  

Solution

First, Foreman Jonathan and his team installed WaterGuard, our specially engineered French drain that intercepts water at the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard is installed below the floor slab and rests on top of the foundation. This keeps the drain away from the soil preventing damage. As water seeps in through the wall and floor, WaterGuard collects the water and begins directing it to the sump pump system. 

Next, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump System that pumps excess water from the basement. The system is made of three separate pumps that sit inside a protective liner. As the liner fills with water, the pump levels begin to pump the water out of the basement and away from the homes foundation. The airtight lid keeps water vapor inside to prevent water from evaporating into the basement. The lid also has a floor drain incase of a heater tank bursting and an alarm system to alert the homeowner of any issues. 

Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona, an ENERGY STAR dehumidifier is installed and connected to the pump to drain automatically.  This will prevent moisture and humidity which can lead to mold and musty odors.  The SaniDry Sedona will help keep your basement dry, healthy, and mold-free.
