Basement Waterproofing in South Orange, New Jersey
Challenge
A resident in South Orange, New Jersey had an open hole in their basement for their sump pump. An open sump pump is a concern to your basement's health and can cause mold to grow on the walls from the evaporating water. This old sump pump was not keeping up with the amount of water that was entering the basement. A sump pump should be an enclosed and sealed system so that it can properly drain water and keep the basement fully dry. System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey, inspected the basement and knew the homeowner needed a new sump pump.
Solution
Our foreman, Esau Aquino, and the Quality 1st Basement Systems crew were able to replace the old, open sump pump with our TripleSafe Sump Pump. This new sump pump has an airtight lid which will seal any water vapor, and prevent it from getting into the basement. They also installed the WaterGuard System to go around the perimeter of the basement under the slab of the floor. This system will drain water away from the basement, without any worry of clogging from soils under the floor. Esau Aquino also installed Trench Lock Drain System around the water heater, to prevent any water to damage the appliance.
