Basement Waterproofing with full EverLast Wall Installation
Challenge
Staten Island homeowner had a completely flooded basement due to heavy rains and groundwater seepage. She had to completely remove her sheet rock due to water damage. Homeowner consistently had a flooding issue in her basement, and the most recent flood caused extensive damage forcing her to restore all of her floor and wall coverings as well as causing mold and humidity in her home.
Solution
The Quality 1st team installed a full perimeter WaterGuard System to alleviate the problems of ground water penetration and seepage into the basement. We channeled the waterproofing system to a TripleSafe Pump. Our design specialist understood that this customer lived in a very wet area and recommended that the TripleSafe Sump Pump be installed as it would continue to protect the customer and her finished basement even during power outages and extreme weather conditions.
Quality 1st installation team also installed a SaniDry upright unit which circulate basement air, will remove excess humidity and odor in the air, and prevent mold spores. Every basement should have a SaniDry unit installed as it is the only dehumidifier that will circulate basement air and is large enough to completely dry out the air of an entire basement. Due to the damage to the homeowner's wall, we installed EverLast wall paneling because EverLast walls allowed this customer to refinish her basement quickly and are made with inorganic materials which means they are not susceptible to water damage or mold. This Staten Island homeowner can now enjoy a dry, healthy, and beautiful basement living space!
