Basement Waterproofing in Union, NJ
Challenge
Quality 1st Basement Systems was contacted by a homeowner in Union, NJ about a waterproofing issue. The homeowner was experiencing heavy water seepage during rainy days, and their old sump pump system was completely worn out. They were interested in replacing their sump pump and installing extra waterproofing systems for more protection. We provided a thorough inspection of the basement and found some water had built up within the walls. This caused some deterioration inside the walls and more water seepage in the basement. We then concluded the best solution was to waterproof the basement.
Solution
Our crew first installed the Triple Safe Sump Pump system. Unlike regular sump pumps, TripleSafe provides three times the protection against water seepage. On a regular basis, the sump pump pumps about 2,220 gallons of water per hour. On a charged battery, the sump pump can charge 11,500 gallons of water. The system also comes with an alarm, which alerts the homeowner of when the water has surpassed its breaking point, and an airtight lid that protects the inside, of the system, against the basement elements. Our crew then replaced the deteriorating wall with our EverLast Wall Restoration panels. EverLast is washable and mold resistant. In addition to those systems, our crew also installed IceGuard and Lawnscape downspouts to provide more durable protection. Since the installation, the homeowner has not experienced any other issues in their basement.
