Red Bank Wet Basement
Challenge
John, a Red Bank homeowner, contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems because he had just purchased this house that had basement flooding problems. During the home inspection, evidence of frequent flooding was brought to his attention. Quality 1st Basement Systems completed a full inspection of his basement and found multiple points of entry for water leaks. Ground water seepage was causing water to enter the basement through the walls and flooring causing damage to the walls and rising humidity levels in the basement.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a fully perimeter WaterGuard system with a TripleSafe sump pump. The whole area of the basement is protected because it is completely covered by the WaterGuard. John can rest easy knowing that all the entry points are waterproofed and any water that comes in either through his walls or flooring will filter right into the WaterGuard, never entering the basement space and be funneled to the TripleSafe sump pump and directed away from his house. The WaterGuard takes water from 3 angles, down the wall, under the floor as well as on top of the floor.
Also installed was the SaniDry XP basement dehumidifier which will combat all of the humidity in the basement and circulate the air throughout the space. To finish his walls, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed the ThermalDry Wall System which is a silver colored wall covering that stops water vapor, drains wall leaks into the WaterGuard system, and reflect heat back into the space, saving John and his family on utility bills and keeping his man cave nice and cozy!
With the installation of the full perimeter system and triple safe John gets the peace of mind knowing he has a lifetime warranty against any ground water seepage. The end result for John is a totally dry basement that is now ready for finishings. He can now build the “Man Cave” of his dreams.
