Challenge

A homeowner in Marlboro, NJ contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems about water issues in his basement. There was moisture in the basement causing high humidity levels in the space. Upon inspection by a Quality 1st Basement Systems inspector, it seemed that basement flooding was a frequent issue in the basement evident by the staining on the walls and flaking of the paint. The homeowner also had water in his crawl space.

Solution

Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a full perimeter basement waterproofing system, WaterGuard, which is specially designed to keep basements dry. WaterGuard will drain the water to a TripleSafe sump pump before it can ever flood the basement. The TripleSafe sump pump is the best sump pump product on the market. TripleSafe is made up of three pumps that all work together to ensure that the water is pumped out of the basement all the time.

Basement flooding is often caused by the saturation of the soil around the home. Groundwater pushes its way into the basement. It is important to drain water away from the home and foundation. We installed a LawnScape outlet to solve this homeowner's problems. LawnScape is an underground extension that allows excess water to be drained away from the foundation, alleviating the hydrostatic pressure on the home and decreasing the amount of water that will try to enter this basement.
