Waterproof walls keep Howell basement dry
Challenge
A Howell homeowner loved using his basement as a multipurpose room. However, he did not love the dents, cracks and peeling walls of his otherwise finished basement. It seemed that water was causing the walls to sweat and weaken, causing unsightly damage and indications of a worsening problem.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems had the solutions for this homeowner’s wet basement worries! The crew removed the old, water damaged walls and installed Basement to Beautiful panels, which are custom-engineered. These panels are made up of Silver-Glo foam insulation that helps to lower thermal conductivity and maintain heat. The panels feature metal studs integrated into the foam, which also conduct heat and prevent mold growth.
The Quality 1st Basement Systems team then installed EverLast Wall Panels to create a stylish look for the basement. These panels are coated with a washable, vinyl finish, so spills and scuffs are easily removable. They are also resistant to water damage and mold growth. In addition to being extremely difficult to dent or crack, EverLast Wall Panels brighten and enhance the look of any basement! Now this happy homeowner has a beautifully finished basement to enjoy!
