Water Seepage Fixed in Fort Lee Basement
Challenge
This wet basement in Fort Lee was suffering from water damage. The porous concrete walls were allowing condensation to seep through and drain into the basement. This water was collecting along the floors and ruining the bottom of the basement walls. The homeowner used his basement as storage and did not want his possessions being ruined by water. He decided to call Quality 1st Basement Systems for a basement waterproofing solution.
Solution
The Quality 1st Basement Systems crew installed a WaterGuard Interior Basement Waterproofing system. This system is installed around the perimeter of the basement and is designed to capture floor and wall seepage. This drainage system will never clog with silt or plant roots and will always flow smoothly. The WaterGuard drains the captured water into a sump pump system, which then pumps the water out and away from the home's foundation.
A CleanSpace Liner was also installed by the Quality 1st Basement Systems team along the lower half of the basement walls. This vapor barrier system is made of multiple layers of waterproof plastic to protect walls from water damage. It is also completely mold resistant and durable enough to sustain regular amounts of wear and tear without ripping. The CleanSpace Liner encapsulation system helps to prevent moisture and outside air from seeping in. Now this basement is protected from water seepage and the homeowner knows his stored items are safe from water damage!
