A vertical crack in this Oceanport home's foundation had the homeowner worried. The old sump pump wasn't keeping the basement dry so she turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for help. Basement Waterproofing expert, Jessica Long, inspected the property and knew just how to fix the crack in the foundation and keep the basement dry. Jessica recommended FlexiSpan to seal the vertical crack and an Everlast Window along with CleanSpace to direct any water vapor down into a WaterGuard System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump would pump the water out of the basement and an IceGuard Drain would be installed to insure the water would drain no matter how low the temperature dropped. LawnScape was recommended to add a decorative and functional exit for the drain. Quality 1st foreman, Juan Garcia, arrived with his crew to install the Basement Waterproofing Systems. Vertical Crack in Foundation Wall

Here we have a vertical crack in the foundation wall that started at the window. Not only does this allow for more water to enter your basement as you can see by the water stains in this photo but if foundation cracks are left untreated, they can develop into a much more serious issue. Our goal for this homeowner was to take care of the crack and to cover up these nasty and stained walls.

FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair

Our FlexiSpan product seals the crack and keeps water from leaking through the foundation crack. It also connects with the perimeter waterproofing system as you can see in this picture, allowing water to freely flow to the sump pump instead of collecting on your basement floor.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

Here we are in the middle of installing the TripleSafe Sump Pump. You can see how the perimeter trench is connected to the sump pump liner and allows the TripleSafe sump pump to easily remove the water out of your basement. This was also right before we changed the discharge line as you can see in the next picture.

Finished Basement Waterproofing

Installed, the TripleSafe Sump Pump and CleanSpace walling gives the basement a more attractive look. The WaterGuard System is installed along the perimeter to keep the floor dry. The back-up battery on the floor will turn on in case this homeowner loses power, allowing the sum pump to keep your basement dry even when everything else fails.
