The basement walls of an office building in North Brunswick were beginning to bow and crack. In addition to the foundation failure, the basement had an old sump pump system that was malfunctioning- causing water to flood the space. In order to stabilize the foundation, our System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero, proposed the installation of a Wall Anchor, Power Brace & Carbon Armor. To solve the flooding, he proposed the installation of the TripleSafe Sump Pump, WaterGuard & IceGuard. Our Team led by Juan Garcia, installed the products over the span of two days. The basement now stays completely dry (even in the worst of rains) and the foundation walls are stable and stronger than ever before.

The Old Sump Pump

This sump pump was no longer capable of pumping out water and needed to be replaced.

IceGuard Installation

To make sure that water never gets back into the basement after being pumped out, our team installed IceGuard. IceGuard has small openings in the top of the pipe that allow water to escape even if the discharge lines are clogged or frozen.

Bowing & Cracked Walls

The unstable conditions of the wall created an unsafe environment for the workers.

CarbonArmor Installation

CarbonArmor uses fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) which are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against your basement wall. CarbonArmor will immediately stabilize your foundation walls and permanently protect against any further inward movement. CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed to the bottom section of the wall to collect any water seepage directly into the WaterGuard Drainage System which would flow the water to the sump pump.
