An Englishtown homeowner discovered the crawl space of their home was flooded. A neighbor, who had used Quality 1st Basement Systems to encapsulate their crawl space, suggested they call right away. Jeff Nero, a Crawl Space Waterproofing Specialist, inspected the problem area and explained to the homeowner how encapsulation would give them a healthier home overall. Fact; bacteria, fungus, and mold spores thrive in a wet crawl space. The air from the crawl space rises through the home bringing the spores and germs up into the air the family breathes. In addition, the water vapor from the wet crawl space will eventually rot out the beams supporting the house. Encapsulation will prevent both these issues. After hearing this, the homeowner couldn't wait to get started. A SmartSump Sump Pump was installed to remove any water that accumulated under the Drainage Matting. An IceGuard Discharge Line was installed on the outside of the crawl space to ensure the system would function on even the coldest days.
