A Spring Lake, NJ homeowner was looking for some extra storage space. She knew that her crawl space was big enough- but it wasn't safe enough! She had an existing sump pump in the crawl space but still got water from time to time because there wasn't a drainage system. The existing pump was old and needed to be replaced as well. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st and we were able to turn her crawl space into a safe, dry place to store things!

New Sump Pump

The new sump pump was equipped with a backup battery in the event of a power outage.

The Final Steps

Once the WaterGuad was in place, concrete was installed over top of it to secure it and close the gap that had been removed.

The Old Pump

The old pump was sitting an open pit. The open pit was a safety hazard and it allowed moisture and musty odors to seep out into the crawl space.

Installing The WaterGuard

The WaterGuard Drainage System was installed to around the perimeter to catch any water seeping into the crawl space from the floor or walls and direct it to the sump pump.

A traditional french drain typically leaves a large gap between the wall and floor. With WaterGuard, the gap between the wall and floor is just big enough for water to get in while keeping out dust from clogging the channel.
