Pool Deck Raising in Pennington, NJ
Challenge
Ahmet is a homeowner in Pennington, NJ with an outdoor swimming pool. The slabs outside the pool had settlement from about an inch to an inch and a half. This settlement concerned Ahmet and he contacted Quality 1st Basements for a solution. He was looking to fix the settlement without going through a lengthy process of concrete replacement.
Solution
System Design Specialist, Andy, recommended our PolyLevel solution. PolyLevel is a lightweight but strong foam that will lift and level concrete slabs without having to replace the entire slab. It is not affected by soil or water, making it durable in outdoor conditions. The PolyLevel foam also cures quickly, so the concrete can be accessed within 15 minutes after injection. Quality 1st Basements will measure the width and length of each slab being raised and the depth of how much settlement has occurred. Collecting these measurements will determine how much PolyLevel is needed to raise each slab.
Our team completed the job with NexusPro Sealant. NexusPro is used to seal all cracks that formed from the settlement. With the cracks sealed, water can no longer make its way under, extending the life of the concrete. The pool deck is now lifted, leveled and protected against water erosion.
