Pool Deck Raising in Howell, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner located in Howell, NJ noticed that over the years the concrete area around their in-ground pool had settled creating small trip hazards in several areas. The pool area was not safe and water was now pooling in center areas making the concrete wet and slippery. Replacing the concrete was not an option and so they went online to see what alternative options they could find and found our concrete raising solution, PolyLevel.
We sent Concrete Repair Specialist, Andy Gagliardi, out to inspect the pool area and design a solution based on his measurements and concerns for the concrete.
Solution
The pool deck area was 38 x 4 x 2.5 on the left end and measured 22 x 4 x 1.5 on the right. The entire pool area was 613 sq ft. Andy recommended concrete raising on both the left and right sides of the waterfall and JointSealant on since the existing joint seal was broken. The crew drilled small penny-sized holes into each slab and injected Polyurethane foam known as PolyLevel underneath the slab. Each void between the soil and concrete is filled and the foam begins to raise the slab back towards its original position. Once leveled, the injection stops and the foam begins to harden, permanently stabilizing the concrete area.
