East Brunswick, NJ Concrete Sidewalk Settlement Resolution
Challenge
Due to uncontrollable environmental elements, such as exposure to sunlight, moisture, and poorly compressed fill soil, concrete can became severely disheveled over extended periods of time.
In a nearby East Brunswick, NJ neighborhood a local resident began noticing the initial signs of concrete settlement surrounding their homes front sidewalk. Cracks and uneven slabs not only negatively effected the home’s overall aesthetic appeal, but also posed potentially fatal tripping hazards and dangerous walking conditions for visitors and residents. This homeowner decided it was finally time to resolve these issues permanently, luckily they made the wise choice to reach out to our team of concrete repair experts.
Solution
We were able to assist in swiftly tackling this ongoing problem, by sending out our system design specialist Joseph to extensively survey the property, ultimately providing them with an efficient and long-term solution, specifically crafted to meet their exact repair needs. Afterwards our foreman Ash and his crew began administering our heavy-duty PolyLevel Foam Injections to essentially lift and stabilize the sunken sidewalk. By injecting this lightweight, expanding foam beneath portions of the settled concrete, they effectively restored the slabs to their original surface height.
To properly complete this concrete repair process, the crew also applied our specially formulated and ultraviolet resistant NexusPro Joint Sealant to the cracks and crevices of each of the concrete slabs. This high-performance corrective sealant not only fills in gaps but also supplies a fortifying and durable layer of protection to prevent future water infiltration and possible erosion issues.
With the sidewalk fully reinforced and safety liabilities completely eliminated, the homeowner rejoiced in their renewed sense of pride in their homes beloved walkway.
