Concrete Raising of Midland Park, NJ Garage Floor
Challenge
This Midland Park, NJ home owner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems because he was concerned that the slab in his garage was sinking. He had noticed that one side of the garage floor seemed lower than the rest of the concrete. Collin Peare inspected the garage floor and noticed that the garage floor was in fact uneven and sinking on one side. Over a time period of two years, one side of the garage slab had dropped about 2 1/2 inches and had begun to crack because of the stress on the slab.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems Foreman Misael repaired the concrete garage slab using the state of the art PolyLEVEL concrete raising system. PolyLEVEL is a state of the art apporach to repairing sinking concrete slabs. The system takes the original concept of mudjacking and makes it better, faster, and cheaper. A high density polyurethane foam was injected underneath this home's garage slab to lift it back to its original position. The PolyLEVEL foam expanded and was able to raise the garage slab.
This homeowner is very happy with the results of the repair on his garage slab. He is able to safely store items in his garage and is not worried about parking his vehicle in the garage. Quality 1st Basements Systems was able to lift the garage slab back up and stabilize the floor using the PolyLEVEL concrete leveling system. The concrete raising system cured in under 30 minutes, so this homeowner was able to park in his garage right away!
