Crawl Space Repair in Staten Island, NY

A crawl space should be dry and healthy, not smelly and damp! This homeowner in Staten Island, New York noticed their crawl space was developing a musty smell and was becoming damp. This can happen when there's dirt and soil in the crawl space. Dirt and soil can hold moisture, which eventually causes water vapor to rise into the crawl space air. If this goes without a repair, this could have many negative effects on a home, and also the people living in the home. Some of these negative effects are aggravated allergies, smelly carpets, rotting wood, increased energy bills, and even mold growth!

Solution

The homeowner did not want this issue to go without a solution, so they searched online for companies. They came across Quality 1st Basement Systems and decided we would be a good fit for them. When they called us, our customer care representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Mike Dellechiaie. Mike arrived at the home a few days later and began a thorough inspection of the crawl space. He noticed the musty smell and dampness and suggested they encapsulate the space. Within days, our foreman Wilver arrived at the home and began installing our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. CleanSpace will block moisture from getting into the crawl space and it's also waterproof and mold-proof. The installation process is done by removing any rocks and debris, and leveling uneven surfaces. CleanSpace is carefully fitted into the crawl space and permanently held in with drilled-in pegs. Since the installation, the homeowner has not experienced any issues with their crawl space, and it has remained dry and healthy!
