Damp Crawl Space Solution in Flemington, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Flemington, New Jersey was looking for a solution to their damp crawl space. A damp crawl space can happen when the soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. The wet soil creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water through the floors and walls of the crawl space. If this goes without repair, this can have many negative issues such as rotting wood, smelly carpets, increased energy bills, pests, and even mold growth!
Solution

Upon his inspection, Dane noticed the crawl space had a musty smell and puddles of water, so he suggested they seal the crawl space from the earth's elements. Our crew arrived a few days later and installed our Drainage Matting and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. Drainage matting will catch any water that seeps into the crawl space and drain it to the sump pump. CleanSpace is a thick liner that is waterproof and mold-proof! The crawl space will now be protected from moisture, mold, rotting, dirt, and water. Not only does the homeowner have a dry and healthy crawl space, but it can also be used for storage space!
