Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to help this homeowner in the Bronx, New York transform their crawl space from a damp and dark space into a dry and healthy space. The homeowner noticed their crawl space was damp and developing a musty smell. If this goes without repair, a damp crawl space can cause issues such as rotting wood, increased energy bills, smelly carpets, and mold growth.

Solution

The homeowner made a call to Quality 1st Basement Systems and we sent our System Design Specialist Mike to provide an inspection. Mike suggested they encapsulate the crawl space to completely seal it from the earth's elements. Our foreman and crew installed our Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System which will help to block out moisture and humidity. CleanSpace is a thick, durable liner that is also mold-proof and waterproof. By having this system installed, the homeowner's peace of mind was restored, and they had extra space for storage!
