Damp Crawl Space In Washington Crossing, PA
Challenge
In Washington Crossing, PA, a homeowner was faced with persistent water intrusion issues in their crawl space. Heavy rains led to water pooling in the crawl space, causing dampness and structural concerns. Along with high moisture levels creating unsafe conditions conducive to mold and mildew, threatening the air quality of the entire household. The existing drainage solutions were insufficient to manage the volume of water entering the crawl space. This problem not only posed risks to the structural integrity of the home but also created an unhealthy environment with potential mold growth and musty odors. The homeowner recognized the urgent need for a reliable solution and reached out to Quality 1st Basement Systems for help.
Solution
In order to begin the waterproofing process, our system design specialist John thoroughly assessed the situation and proposed a dynamic solution combining two key systems. First, our foreman Miguel and his crew installed our WaterGuard French Drainage System around the perimeter of the crawl space. This drainage system was specifically designed to collect and channel water away from the foundation, preventing water from settling in the crawl space. Lastly, the crew installed our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump, to ensure any collected water was effectively removed. The combination of our WaterGuard system and SuperSump pump effectively redirected and removed excess water, resulting in a dry and healthy crawl space. With moisture issues resolved, the homeowner was provided with total peace of mind!
