Liner and Dehumidifier keep crawl spaces clean

Challenge

The exposed earth and concrete floor of a Monmouth Beach crawl space was causing groundwater leakage to slowly evaporate into a woman's home. She also had walls made of block and wood that were allowing water in easily. She was worried the moisture would seep into her home and cause mold.

Solution

Quality 1^st Basement Systems was happy to fix this homeowner’s crawl space problems. The team fitted a CleanSpace crawl space liner, which is similar to a pool liner. It is fitted tightly to the crawl space in order to seal off homes from the exposed earth. CleanSpace has multiple layers of plastic that are flexible and resistant to tears or punctures. It also has an antimicrobial additive in the plastic to prevent mold growth.

The crew then installed the SaniDry CX Air System, which acts a dehumidifier and an air filtration system. This drains moisture from the air so that crawl spaces are left dry and clear. The SaniDry is high-capacity and energy efficient, and can be set up to drain directly in sump pump systems or outside. Now this homeowner’s crawl space is clearer, cleaner and protected from outside elements, which will keep her home safe as well.
