Crawl Space Encapsulation in Brigantine, NJ
Challenge
Recently, a homeowner in Brigantine, NJ, contacted us with concerns about persistent dampness in their crawl space. They were anxious about moisture-related issues such as mold, wood rot, and potential structural damage. Additionally, the existing crawl space entrance was outdated and in need of replacement. The homeowner wanted a reliable vapor barrier solution that would address moisture control while also minimizing ongoing maintenance requirements. Their primary goal was to safeguard their home from moisture intrusion and temperature fluctuations, while also improving the accessibility of the crawl space.
Solution
To address the homeowner's needs, our System Design Specialist, Ryan conducted a thorough inspection of the crawl space and recommended a comprehensive solution. We replaced the outdated crawl space entrance with a new, secure egress door, providing better access while improving the overall function of the space.
For the moisture control and insulation concerns, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system. CleanSpace is a heavy-duty, durable material designed to encapsulate the entire crawl space, preventing moisture from penetrating the home environment and reducing the risk of mold growth, wood rot, and structural damage. To further enhance the solution, we also installed SilverGlo insulation panels on the crawl space walls. These panels provide excellent thermal insulation by reflecting heat back into the space, helping to maintain a dry and energy-efficient environment under the home.
With these combined efforts, the homeowner now has a crawl space that is both well-protected from moisture and properly insulated, ensuring long-term durability and energy efficiency with minimal maintenance.
