To prevent the water from getting trapped underneath the vapor barrier liner, the cream installs drainage matting that gives the water flooding into the crawl space a channel underneath the liner. This directs that water to the perimeter crawl space drain and sump pump system.
Vapor Barrier Installed.
The crew then installs CleanSpace Vapor Barrier over the SilveGlo to seal the crawl space off from water, moisture and humid or cold air. This liner is fully waterproofing and mold resistant, making it the perfect product to use inside your crawl space.
SilverGlo Heat Barrier
After the drainage matting is installed, a heat barrier referred to as SilverGlo, is installed on the walls of the crawl space. SilverGlo will reflect heat back into the crawl space to prevent heat loss. With SilverGlo installed, furnaces and water heaters wont have to work harder to perform, saving you money.
Smart Sump Pump System
Lastly, Quality 1st Basements installed a sump pump system specifically designed for the crawl space called a Smart Sump pump. The Smart Sump Pump has a built-in alarm system to notify the homeowner right away when it senses a water leak inside your crawl space.
