A homeowner in Surf City, NJ was worried about the condition of their crawl space. After experiencing a musty odor in their home, they contacted Quality 1st to evaluate the problem. Our System Design Specialist, Jay H. went out to inspect the crawl space. He found that the underlying cause of the musty odor was from the excessive amounts of water coming into the crawl space. The moisture in the crawl space was causing the wood to rot and mold to grow. After his inspection, Jay presented the homeowner with a written proposal, explaining a solution to their problem. The homeowner was thrilled with the proposed solution and decided to go through with the installation.  On the day of the installation, Esau and his team called the homeowner to let them know they were on their way. Upon arrival, they got straight to work. After cleaning out the debris in the crawl space, they began the encapsulation and waterproofing process. Once the installation was complete, Esau sealed up the vents to prevent any outdoor air, bugs, or moisture from getting into the crawl space.  The homeowner no longer has to worry about water getting into their crawl space and they now have clean air filtering through their home with no more musty odors!
