Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Sagging Floor Stabilized in Delran, New Jersey

An existing customer living in Delran, NJ, called in after noticing the floors on the first floor had begun to sag. A few years back we had waterproofed and encapsulated their crawl space creating a dry and healthy environment for them. Fast forward a few years, the crawl space beams started sagging creating uneven floors on the first floor. Foundation Specialist Mike F, visited his customer and recommended SmartJacks be installed to provide the additional support the beams need to stabilize the floor and the crawl spaces structure.

The team measured each beam with a level and the unevenness was very clear.

Upon inspection, Mike noticed several of the beams had started cracking from the weight of the floor joist above.

Each SmartJack is installed to the crawl space beam to support the weight. This system is adjustable therefore can gradually help bring the beam back towards its original level.
