A homeowner in Palmyra, New Jersey reported water coming into their basement through the walls and floors. This can happen because of the poorly compacted soil around the home's foundation. Over time this soil becomes saturated during heavy rainfall and creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water through the walls and floor. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe, provided an inspection. Our foreman installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System which is thick like a pool liner and is placed along the basement walls. Then, the foreman installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the foundation footing to prevent mud from getting in and clogging it. Lastly, the foreman installed the SuperSump Classic Sump Pump System which has an airtight enclosed lid to keep moisture from getting into the basement air.
