Foundation Repairs & Basement Waterproofing in Edison, NJ

This homeowner in Edison, New Jersey noticed their concrete pool patio was becoming unlevel and a tripping hazard. This can happen because concrete is poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids under the concrete, causing it to become unlevel. If this went without repair, someone could have injured themselves.

Our customer care representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, JC Gibriano. JC provided a thorough inspection and suggested they use polyurethane foam to bring the pool patio to a lifted and leveled position. 

A few days later our foreman, Ramon Romero, arrived at the job site and began the process of installing the PolyLevel Injection System. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete and injecting the foam to fill the voids underneath. PolyLevel is environmentally friendly and a lightweight solution that will not add any weight to the existing soil. Within 20 minutes, the pool patio will be safe to walk on and brought to a level position. 

When the job was complete, the homeowner was satisfied with the outcome. They were able to safely walk around their pool patio, and the concrete was no longer a tripping hazard!

Our foreman used the PolyLevel Injection System to be injected into the voids under the concrete. This is done by drilling tiny holes into the concrete, and the foam is injected into the voids under the slab. This polyurethane foam has expanding properties that allow for an accurate lift and level of the slab. This process does not require any disruption to the existing concrete. The foam is environmentally friendly, waterproof, and does not degrade. Now, the homeowner does not have to worry about their family tripping by the pool.

Edison homeowners contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a free estimate on basement waterproofing. The basement walls would get wet every so often when it rained but never a large amount where the basement would  flood. One morning, after receiving 10 inches of rain, the homeowners saw standing water in their basement. By the end of the project, Chip S. found a drier, warmer, brighter crawl space.  He would have no more worries of water seeping into the basement through the common wall, now boasting the newly-installed ZenWall which provides a cleaner, brighter appearance and additional insulation.
