Foundation Settlement and Cracks

Challenge

The homeowner of a single family home contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems because he noticed detachment of his front porch from the rest of his home and settling as much as one inch. The gap forming between the porch and home began to alarm the homeowner for the value and aesthetic look of the home, but mostly for the safety of his family coming and going from the house because of the trip hazards the settlement was creating.

Solution

Quality 1st Basement Systems remedied the problem by using the PolyLEVEL Polyurethane Injection System. The PolyLEVEL system is installed in just one day, and it can be walked on just 15 minutes after installation. Quality 1st Basement Systems drilled a quarter size hole into the settling part of the porch and used specialized equipment to inject the polyurethane under the concrete and raise it back to its original elevation. With the use of the PolyLEVEL system, Quality 1st was able to lift and stabilize the settling porch and close cracks along the bottom half of the porch. The job site was left spotless because the PolyLEVEL system creates no mess. This fast installation process gave the homeowners peace of mind and left them very happy.
