Sagging Basement Beams in Cookstown, NJ
Challenge
Homeowner located in Cookstown, NJ was experience sagging floors on the first level of their home. Concerned that this might be a foundation problem, they started searching for what types of solutions there would be for sagging floors. Discovering our website, he started looking into our SmartJack System and thought this might be the perfect solution they were looking for. The customer called in and scheduled a free estimate with our Foundation Design Specialist, Mike, to provide a thorough inspection and review recommendations for a permanent solution. Mike came out, did a full walk through of the basement and the first level of the home and determined the basement beams were sagging down below. This was causing the floor on the first level to sag and so therefore Mike recommended additional stability for the basement beams.
Solution
Foundation Design Specialist, Mike recommended our SmartJack XP Stabilization System as the perfect solution. He recommended installing 9 SartJacks to the basement beam to provide additional support to prevent further sagging. The system will ensure that the floor above is stable and wont sink or sag in the future. Each SmartJack is a high- capacity, adjustable steel pier which will help gradually bring the beam back towards its original level. This system can support loads up to 60,000 lbs making it strong enough to support a foundation floor structure. Quality 1st Basements Systems with help from Mike Fiorillo and Foreman Joanthan Neira, were able to provide this homeowner with peace of mind that their home is protected and safe.
