Basement Walls Stabilized in Colonia, New Jersey
Challenge
Colonia, NJ Resident noticed the basement walls were bowing inward creating horizonal cracks in the foundation. We sent System Design Specialist, Jeff Nero, out to provide a full inspection and design a solution that would not only stabilize the foundation walls but prevent future movement. Upon inspection, Jeff noticed that the cause of the bowing walls was due to hydrostatic pressure. Knowing that this could potentially cause serious foundation issues, the homeowner decided to have the walls stabilized to protect the value of their home.
Solution
Jeff Nero recommended stabilizing the basement walls with our CarbonAmor Wall Reinforcing System. This system is the prefect solution for any foundation walls that are experiencing bowing or cracking. Each flexible carbon fiber strip is applied to the section of the wall with a strong epoxy to bond the strip in place. CarbonArmor requires no excavation making it a clean installation. The CarbonArmor straps are up to 10 times stronger in tension than steel.
