Foundation Wall Cracks in Pennsauken
Challenge
The Biele family home is an older home with cinder bock construction foundation. The grade around the home is relatively flat with clay soils. Over the course of 20 - 30 years the home began to experience foundation wall cracks around the entire perimeter. When they wanted to sell the home these cracks were pointed out by the buyers home inspector and needed to be remedied prior to the closing.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems recommended 25 of our Wall Anchors. The wall anchors will stabilize the wall and not allow for any further bowing or cracking horizontally. The anchors were installed approx every 5' along the perimeter walls.
The installation of the Wall Anchors stabilized 2 walls and pulled the other 2 exterior walls back about 1".
