Sticking Doors in Maywood, NJ
Challenge
Mr. Vaccarella's home is a two-story framed structure with its foundation being completely above grade. He had observed the typical warning signs of foundation settlement for some time, including drywall cracks, doors and windows that did not fully open or close and uneven floors. Upon inspection Quality 1st Basement Systems determined that the home was settling to the front right.
Solution
Quality 1st Basement Systems remedied the problem by installing four hydraulically driven Push Piers™ stabilize the foundation of the house. We excavated the to the footing from the outside. During the excavation we noticed lots of loose shale along the footing.
The installation of the Push Piers™ stabilized the foundation of the house along the front right corner and also raised the foundation back 1/8".
